Guides’ Trip to Disneyland Paris

On Friday 24th January a party of 18 set off on a coach to Paris. We travelled to Folkestone and then on the shuttle to Calais. Then it was the long coach journey to the Disney Hotel.

The driver had a few problems with directions! We eventually arrived at 3.30am, so we bedded down at 4.15, and woke at 6.15am, quick shower and off to breakfast. We were all in the Disney park by 8.30am, in our specially knitted pink bobble hats. Off they all went to find rides and Disney characters for their photos.

We re-grouped at lunch time and then for the parade. It was extremely cold by that time so with frozen feet and hands and faces, it was off to Planet Hollywood for burgers and chips. We had new additions to the group in the form of soft toys.

After a time in the restaurant and time to warm up a bit it was back to the park to watch the evening light show and fireworks. By the time we all returned to our hotel we were certainly ready for bed, after a visit to Starbucks that is.

Then Sunday morning it was up early again, breakfast and back to the park by 8.30am. The girls rushed off for more rides, shopping and collecting photos again. At midday we all left Disney, collected our cases and boarded the coach home.

Coach, ferry and coach back to Welling by 8.30pm Sunday night. What a long and tiring, but fun weekend for all involved.
