Call to Prayer this November

We are called to a Month of Prayer by Cardinal Vincent Nichols and Archbishop Justin Welby.

See www.cbcew.org.uk/statement-on-the-four-week-national-lockdown-and-a-call-to-prayer/

and www.churchofengland.org/resources/call-prayer-nation

In particular it has been suggested that we pray together at 6.00pm.
The following has been proposed by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal National Service Committee.

Praise at 6pm each day in November

Sign of the Cross

Begin with a moment’s silence

Pray the psalm of praise aloud

Pray for a few minutes in the Spirit (or use a prayer that suits you, for example: www.stellamaris.org.uk/resource/prayer-for-the-end-of-covid-19)

Concluding prayers:

God the Holy Spirit Comforter and Sanctifier.
Melt our hearts that we may accept your love.
Renew our minds that we may know your truth.
Strengthen our wills that we may serve you faithfully.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Holy Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Our Lady, Star of the New Evangelisation, Pray for us.
