As the secretary for Churches Together in Welling, the job has fallen to me to compile the leaflet. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For more than 30 years I have joined in with Lenten House Groups, as they always were, then more recently I have been pleased to try some of the other activities on offer such as doing a Prayer Walk round Danson Park.\u00a0 This is not at all scary as it just involves walking gently round the park with other Christians, stopping at different points to pray for the local community.\u00a0 Last year, for the first time, there was a Quiet Morning led by a Roman Catholic nun, Sister Ursula.\u00a0 It was lovely to spend the morning in quiet contemplation, wandering round the extensive grounds of St John&#8217;s Church next to the park.\u00a0 Please have a browse and I hope that, like me, you can find something you&#8217;d like to try.\u00a0 You are assured of a good welcome wherever you go, and you may even make a new friend or two.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.saintstephens.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Lent-leaflet-2025-2.pdf\">Lent leaflet 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Gwen Chiosso<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to this year\u2019s Lenten Activities brought to you by the Churches of Welling.
